Great as an expensive Knob !
Just bought 3 of them and decided to use them only on bathroom/toilet doors where it is only a snib, ie no turning needed. Look very good but expensive for this purpose.

Not so select ....
I bought these door knobs about 18 months ago, as the previous reviewer says they're very stiff I took back the pair I had and swapped them for a looser pair but had to open half a dozen packs to find one decent pair

Select by name, rubbish by nature...
I just bought four of these to go on new doors upstairs. They look alright but they're very stiff and have no return springs on either knob, so getting the latch to return depends on the feeble spring on the mortice latch...and that's never going to happen, so once you've opened the door the latch stays retracted unless you turn the knob back yourself. After an hour of patient fettling and lubrication with light duty grease they reached a barely acceptable smoothness in that you no longer needed a grip like godzilla to turn them, and I'm sure they will get smoother over time, but even then the latch is always going to stay retracted until you turn the knob back. I'll look for a better quality item somewhere else, and I'll take the £20 hit on the one I've used, but the other three are going back for a refund in the morning.
