Worse than rubbish

Waste of time and money
My husband fitted new handles throughout the house and had to replace the lock mechanism on our bathroom door. After working fine initially, the mechanism failed while I was inside! Even when my husband took the handle off from the outside we still couldn't open the door. He had to pass things under the door for me to force the latch open! Glad it was me that got stuck and not our three year old!

Dreadful
Fitted in new door, just a couple of months and it broke internally while my wife was inside. Thankfully I was home so had to hammer and chisel the door frame as it broke while in lock position. Metal fragmented into the latch so handle would not retract the latch. Made a big mess. B&Q replaced the latch but nothing for my damaged frame and stress etc. three months later the new one has just done it again!!!! DONT BUY THIS ITS USELESS AND DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!

Install could have been easier
The actual latch is not easy to switch from a right hinged door to a left or vice verse. The slot for the manual lock had not been cut out fully (I bought two and both hand the same issue). This results in firstly, hard to get the steel pin/rod through, secondly, there was no play once in and therefore the resulting door handles and manual lock being stiff to use. The latch also seem to be a fraction wider as a replacement, needing work on the door to accommodate the latch. The door frame plate also has a strange uneven slot and needed filing. Overall, does the job but more thought regarding the actual fitting by the manufacture is needed.

Still junk in 2023
As others have said, complete junk. Broke within month through little use, having switched latch direction around it then fails internally. Avoid this product.

This is rubbish and don’t buy it
It did last a few years but as the others say the bit sticks in which means you can only lock the door unless you wiggle the bit that gets stuck in the lock to release it.

Waste of Money
Spent hours installing this, then found the lock part would sometimes not completely withdraw using the thumbturn. This could sometimes leave people stuck in the toilet. Just a gentle push on the bolt would push it all the way in, but you can't reach this when in use. Also, the shaft for the bolt was not horizontal, so the fittings had to be at slightly different heights.

Missing Piece
Got the lock home to find packet had been opened and resealed with tape , missing frame striker plate, not impressed.
