Colour matching problems between tins!
This Ronseal stuff is excellent and half the wooden panels and exposed floorboards in my house is covered in it, but in this case We were bitterly disappointed to open the three tins we bought from B&Q to find that they were completely different shades of "Antique Pine" from each other and indeed from the two tins we bought from Barnitts (which were, incidentally different from each other, too). We ended up blending the five tins together in batches to produce a sort of average shade that bore no resemblance to the rest of the Ronseal Antique Pine surfaces we've already covered. On the plus side, though it goes on a treat, though you do really need five coats for that truly antique effect, it wears well (from the experience of the last ten years of Ronseal) and the brushes clean up a treat in warm soapy water using the "dib-dib" technique and wrapping the brushes in newspaper to dry out. Twenty minute drying time is a treat, too: if you're doing a lot of floorboards the first one is dry by the time you've reached the last one so you can just crack on!

Great colour and good coverage, also (so far) it stands up to knocks from the kids
