We have just had eight new oak interior doors fitted, I bought them unfinished. I bought a 2.5 litre tin of this product, clear, and Matt finish.
It is easy to apply, dries almost instantly, I have applied 2 coats so far, the finish is superb, and I still have a third of a tin left.
Terrible stuff, stays tacky

I used this to varnish a set of dining chairs which I had sanded back to the bare wood. I followed the directions carefully and all seemed well. The problem is that this varnish never sets hard, it remains slightly tacky. After six months the varnish on the arms of the chairs has started to congeal into brown lumps in the areas of most use. Very disappointing
EASY TO APPLY

I PURCHASED THIS VARNISH RECENTLY TO COVER SOME NEW TIMBER CLADDING,WHICH I HAD PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED ON THE CEILING OF MY GARDEN ROOM.IT WAS EASY TO APPLY AND LOOKS LIKE THICK MILK,BUT WHEN BRUSHED ON DRIES CLEAR.THE SATIN FINISH GIVES A NICE SHEEN TO THE NEW TIMBER,RATHER THAN MATT OR GLOSS FINISH.THE CEILING IS APPROX. 5.4M. x 2.6M.. I GAVE THE CEILING 2 COATES AND HAVE APPROX. 15% OF THE 2.5 LITRE TIN LEFT OVER.VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULT AND MORE TO THE POINT MY WIFE IS PLEASED WITH THE APPEARANCE.

Used regularly on church hall floor and leaves impressive finish. Unfortunately, some newly aquired chairs have abrassive feet so may needc more regular treatrment!
