A washable, slate garage floor paint in a satin finish. Covers up to 12 m² per litre and dries in 72 hours.

Went down well but now starting to lift
I bought this to paint a brand new garage floor - 3 coats of PVA sealer as base and 2 coats of this paint, followed by a full 3 warm says of drying time. It went down well and looked amazing, However a month later partss have started to lift where the vehicle tyres have been so I'm going to have to retouch... ;-(

Just great. Coverage is great Drying time is good Looks great Definitely recommend it. Worth paying that little bit extra for these qualities

A bit expensive
I guess one has to accept a higher price these days. And you need to allow sufficient drying time. However the quality is very good

Doesn't do what it says on the tin
Bought this as I can't buy epoxy locally and didn't want to wait. Applied to my shed floor which was prepped and it basically flaked away when dry despite many coats. In short.. Get epoxy, I ordered in the end and it went down and stayed down. Believe the bad reviews

Waste of money and time
Needed a paint to cover my concrete steps and thought this would be my answer, but followed the instructions on tin applied 3 coats over 2 days - looked lovely and then it rained and I was back to square one!! I’ve bought other Ronseal products and it does what it says on the tin, unfortunately this this product does not. I wished I’d read the reviews before buying as 35 pounds is not a small amount to pay - I would be very careful and buy another product.

Don’t rely on the reviews - try for yourself!
So I don’t write reviews, usually. But the bad reviews very nearly stopped me buying this product so I think a balanced view is needed. I bought this for our garage converted to a dance studio for my daughters. The finish is stunning. It has a purple hue like actual slate does and a shiny satin finish. I tried to apply by roller but the uneven floor did not coat well and the paint pooled in dips and left only a shiny non-coloured finish on the higher surface. Applied by a large fence paint brush was so much better. Load the brush well and apply generously then you won’t have to do a second coat. The finish is brilliant and 1 can is enough for a single garage with 1 generous coat. If you want to have spare to do touching up I would suggest the larger sized can. Don’t let you bad reviews put you off. I think the finish is fantastic.
