Great product. Exactly what I wanted.

Great product if you want a white washed look or a dramatically whiter floor. I read the bad reviews first ( I always do this to limit my expectations) before I bought the product. Not sure what the other reviewers did, but my experience was completely different. I've attached photos to demonstrate what my untreated, pine boards looked like. The first picture is one coat. The final, three coats. I was considering stopping at the second coat. I shook the can well before use and left it stood upside down between uses.

Added some extra pigment

Having read the reviews I added a small amount of rust oleum white (about 50ml per tin), this gave me an ash effect with 1 coat.

Good Stuff

Used this product on 12 internal door which had 3 previous coats of varnish. Took time to sand off all the varnish back to bare wood. 3 coats of this product and what a transformation. Well pleased!!

Not what I expected

Thought it would of been whiter so don't expect it to turn the wood really white as its more of a lighter i thought it would of been like the pic on the tin or limed oak, its not. also shake it before you start to paint like really shake it until your arms hurt as stirring won't be good enough. Does dry after 20 mins and can reapply after an hour like it says.

dosn't do what it says on the tin, 4 coats later!!

several reviewers said it was like thin milk. My first tin was. had good shake, started to use it, half way down found a solid mass of colour at the bottom of the tin. 2nd tin similar, so had to empty into a container, mix it properly with a whisk, before use. Then went on much better, goes on easily, white hue evident when wet, then seems to diasppear!!. after 3 coats began to see a slight shade of white ash, so had to buy another tin and go for 4 coats. At least I know its well varnished, but not the nordic look I was after at all. does wash out of brush well, little odour and does dry quickly between coats. very little to photo, tried, but differance so marginal that didn't show up on the photo!! only gave it 3 stars for ease of application, performance not good, value for money rubbish.

Great for a mild white wash look easy to use

Easy to use, easy to maintain. I used this on an Oak unit in my bathroom. I’ve had it for 4 years now and it’s so far protected the wood very well and looks great. As others have said don’t buy if you want a dramatic effect but for a slight white effect it’s perfect. I’m currently using it on a nursery floor ( very small room) and so far I’m pleased with results on freshly sanded floor...pic attached

Waste of time and money

Bought this for my new pine doors, wanted to have that white wash look and still see the grain of the wood. After 3 coats as recommended there is no visible difference, going to put more on, that means you need more than one tin for just one door! Very disappointed with this product.

lovely to paint with

looking to lighten my already waxed wall panels but wanted to keep the wood grain, knots etc. Takes a good few coats but as it is so easy to apply and no sanding etc then it was worth it. It is watery so don't expect it to be like paint but if you're not in a hurry about 4 coats on a pine finish looks great and has updated the hallway. So pleased I found this product. Tip, use a paintbrush that advertises as streak free as this makes it even easier to apply.

Ronseal Milk

I have used 4 coats and glass doors need another 4 to have a covering that hopefully any marks can be wiped off Think it will look nice when done. 3 tins for 2 glass doors so works out quite expensive and time consuming
