Not durable indeed
Followed the instructions for a total of 3 coats but even 6 weeks later, I find it scratches very easily, which for the price, isn't good.

Excellent colour and coverage.
It is easy to apply, dries very quickly and provides the rick dark walnut colour that I wanted.

Just the colour we wanted
We love wooden floors and when we lifted the carpet on our new place were delighted to find fabulous floorboards. Much mess and sanding later they were ready to varnish. We wanted a dark wood and opted for Walnut. Two cans of the 2.5L did one coat on a hall, large lounge/diner and bedroom. One coat gave us the desired look and I have to say we are over the moon with the outcome. How durable it is we’ve yet to find out but so far so good.

Very disappointed with this product.
It is supposed to be hard wearing but is not very durable. Would not purchase again.

Walnut varnish
Beautiful, rich finish. Took a few coats but so happy with the result.

Superb colour
The result was exactly what we wanted. We did not sand the floors and we covered a lighter colour with 3 coats - it looks superb.

Dark walnut ronseal
Had to lay news floorboard across half the room. Wanted a dark stain finish which hopefully would blend the old boards with the new. Can't tell the difference between old and new boards at all now - perfect finish. Ronseal was brilliant with a deep chocolate almost black finish after 3 coats. Gets darker with each coat. Easy to apply if you get yourself a paint pad and we used a standard paint tray, minimal streaks and fairly easy to get an even finish if you work quickly - my first ever try and I am happy with it. Would suggest thinning the first coat with water (water based paint) to make it go further. We didn't and used 2 tins to cover approx 25m2 with three coats. Had half a tin left over. Extra coats go on much easier than the first. Allow approx 1-2hours to dry depending on temp, air flow through room etc. Looks blue/purple when you open the tin. Make sure you shake the tin well and stir a lot. Stir as you go too.
