Love this Rich Teak Stain
I bought a hardwood table and six chairs anumber of years ago but the stain had peeled, it was pretty dirty and grey looking and my wife was taking about buying a new one. Bad scene. It wasn't teak but one of the other, cheaper hardwoods that seem more readily available these days. I know that the experts say don't stain hardwood but it was looking pretty chatty. This was early last year. I took the power hose and cleaned it up, let it dry and gave the roughest bits a bit of a hand sand and applyed a couple of coats of Ronseal rich teak. I was so delighted with the colour and the overall effect that I painted a few other outdoor furniture pieces, both hardwood and softwood, as well with the same pleasing results. It is now coming towards the end of it's second season. It still looks pretty good though the stain has chipped in a couple of places. I expect there will be a few more next year. However, overall I'm delighted with this product and the availability and price at B&Q

Doesn't do what it says on the tin!
Actually the product is quite easy to use and gives a decent finish - although it's hard to prevent runs. But the big problem is coverage. The tin says it will give three coats on a set of four chairs and a table. I barely managed to get one coat out of a tin - and that was without painting the underside of the table. I'm going to need three cans to properly finish the job so it's proving very expensive.
