Product information
Ronseal ultimate protection decking stain will keep your deck protected from the weather and everyday wear and tear. It looks great all year round, with added slip resistance. It lasts twice as long as standard decking stain.

- Instructions for Use - Give the stain a good stir and dip in your brush or pad. Check you’re happy with the colour. Find a small hidden patch of wood and try it. Start in the furthest corner, brushing along the length of the boards. Work on 3-4 boards at a time so you don’t get any overlap marks. You’ll need to put on 2 coats. Leave 4 hours between each coat. After 24 hours you’ll be able to get your furniture out and use the deck. If you get any stain on yourself, wash it off with warm soapy water.

Great deck paint
Great application, lovely colour, important to stir thoroughly as I didn’t and all the colour was left in the bottom of the tin, had to purchase again and start the whole deck again. Looks great now!

More of a decking paint than a stain.
Had to get this to redo decking - previous efforts only lasted a year. Be aware that even though this is a “stain” it behaves more like a stain. Mixed it thoroughly with a drill attachment this time - good even cover, went on well. Fingers crossed for a more durable finish.

Doesn't do what it says.
Bought this for my new decking, very disappointed with it. Almost like coloured water in the tin, needs a good stir when you start. Have put 4 coats on so far and still very patchy. I have now given up on it and will buy something else to do it properly. Don't waste your money .

Excellent product for decking staining.
Excellent dark grey colour. I used two coats on our decking and it looks great, I will definitely buying the same again next year.

The perfect colour and easy to apply
I brought Ronseal Ultimate Protection last year and was so pleased with the end result I purchased more this year. I use a brush and it goes on easily. I purchased it when there was 10% of the price so great value . It hard wearing and an excellent colour.

Great product Easy to apply. Ensure you shake well
I actually bought 5 of these cans and painted my deck which took 2 coats and my fencing which took one coat and a bit of touch ups. It dries quickly. It doesn’t look as dark in the sunlight so needn’t worry about being too black. I would recommend shaking it up in the store and again at home. It’s really thick paint like clay.
