Pipe freezing is a great solution when working with pipe systems to avoid down time and costly drain downs when carrying out tasks like dead leg removal and pipe and valve installation and replacement. An ice plug is created within the pipe which isolates the section you are working on until you have completed your job.

Worked perfectly
Needed to do some pipework, was unable to turn the water off. It worked perfectly. Really easy to use.

Good product & works
Excellent product, but always use the sleeves… Be careful of the drips when the sponge is full & always remember to leave it to do its thing before you start work.

Worked Perfectly
This worked perfectly and better than I thought it would as it was a pretty restricted space to work in. Followed the instruction and had no issues, pipe froze, replaced leaking valve and left to defrost. Quick, no draining and no airlocks to deal with. Thumbs up from me!

Worked Perfectly.
I used this product today to shorten a radiator pipe. I cut the foam and jacket as I only wanted the bottom 3 inches froze. I put a 4 little nicks in the jacket round the pipe and sprayed maybe 10 seconds in each. I waited a minute or so and done it again. I waited 14 minutes and I gave each wee hole another quick blast. Waited another minute then took the plunge and cut. A tiny amount of unfrozen water came out but the freeze held. Fitted the valve and job done. I wasn’t sure if this would work but I didn’t want to drain the system for one pipe. I don’t know why it never worked for other people but it froze and held for me. I had one pipe to cut so maybe added a little extra than the required amount but I’ve one tin, one pipe so why not give it a little more. All I can say is.. It worked.

Terrible product
Purchased this recently so I could replace a radiator in our hall, put foam sleeve onto the pipe with the cable tie. Followed all of manufacturers instructions. This product did NOTHING. Didn’t freeze the pipe and we ended up with water all over our wooden floor. Don’t bother buying - a total waste of money. Wouldn’t have even given it one star given the choice.

Done the job
7 piece kit means 4 cable ties, 2 jackets and can. I used this to renew some radiator valves. The jackets were too long to fit between the floor and valve so I cut a jacket in half, cable tied it to pipe and sprayed down between jacket and pipe. It takes about a third to half a can each time so a 300ml can will do 2 freezes using a full length jacket. Left for 13 minutes and it did its job, the water was stagnant and valve was changed quickly. Bare in mind that radiator still needs to be drained beforehand.
