Does what it needs to

Bought along with a replacement part for the kitchen sink disposal and does exactly what it needs to, had no issues in using and had no problems since installing.

Useful for sealing outside of home too. Used on car sump successfully

Does what it says

It seals like it says. I actually used it for sealing an engine sump plug so works out of the home too

Sticky stuff!

I needed something to seal a kitchen sink strainer waste where the silicone used by the original fitter between the strainer and the body of the sink had perished. The more well known Evo-Stik alternative was not available, so I bought Rothenberger's Plumbers Putty. It has done the job, but was not easy to work with. It is so sticky it is impossible to roll a bead either between hands or on any surface. I ended up smearing the "bead" around the lip of the sink using a flexible stripping knife. A putty knife would have been a more convenient shape. Anyway, it's done the job - screwed it all together, tested with running water, filling the sink and letting it sit then letting the whole sink empty and not even a hint of a leak. It's good stuff, but not a dry putty - at least not the batch mine came from - so be prepared for some messy hands.

Marvellous product.

The best on the market bar none. Couldn't do without it

Does not stop leaks no matter how small.

Had a small leak day before holiday . Read the review , bought it , used it on a tiny leak of one drop per hour on a connector on a water pipe . Water just seeps through , must of put 5 or 6 layers on still seeped through so I do not recommend this product . In the end soldered new elbow joint in to do the job properly.

Who needs silicone

Had to replace shower drain, seen reviews with plumbers putty and will always use this now,no need to wait for it to dry ready to go as soon as you finish great stuff and no leaks which is a bonus

Fantastic! So versatile!

I bought this to seal a leaking join in my washing machine waste pipe... it worked brilliantly but i had so much left! It now holds a doormat on place, plugs a seal in a birdbath and has helped my garden tap! Great value and so versatile!
