Disaster
An absolutely awful product, bought it in the shop without reseaching the subject. Panished for that in full. 7 layers and it still has uneven patches, impossible to paint without visible brush strokes and even after applying a wax coat it still comes off when wiped with a damp cloths. What a waste of money and time…….I need a psychological therapy after using this paint

good paint for a wardrobe of wood
I think its a good product but make no mistake it needs a primer or two coats unless you want the finish to look poor quality. so factor that in to costs. I would use a primer next time.

Finish Not Good
Product bought to revamp old display unit. Finish is very bad wish it hadn’t been done.

Wardrobe renovation
Had an old pine wardrobe that was battered. Filled in all the chips and lightly sanded down, applied a few cotes of Rust-Oleum chalk white paint and looks like a brand new wardrobe. Couldn’t have been happier with the results. Top quality product.

Rubbish paint
This paint is a waste of money. It is really hard to get rid of the brush marks even after 3 coats.

Excellent Furniture Paint
I used this to paint my bed White, also a chest of drawers and a few other little bits. No prep and needed a couple of coats. Used less than one tin, so excellent coverage. Would definitely use again

A Don't Buy
unless you want a rough finish. Annie Sloane paint gives a smoother finish.

Superb results every time!
Needed to refurbish a couple of pieces of furniture as I wanted to keep the quality but alter the finish. Chose the chalky White as a lovely neutral. I did prepare the wood as I like to be thorough and even added a silver element before dealing with the top wax coat. Everyone has commented that they like my NEW furniture. All for the price of a tin of finishing wax and the Chalky white - absolute bargain and beautiful to look at. Definitely recommend and ya you do have to remember it is a chalk paint so may need to water down.

i echo what others have said this paint needs watered down and then it is easy to put on. it does what it says on the tin if put on properly, read some of the other reviews on here for how to use.
