Hard work but does finish the job off nicely
Have read some of the negative review's. However, I found that the clear wax actually worked really well, for me, it complemented the colour by giving it a slight sheen. I used chalk white for base & there were no colour variants when putting on or taking off the wax, in fact I did a second coat of wax to give an even mire enhanced sheen & further protection. Requires a bit of elbow grease to apply & buff after but overall very pleased with end results

Don’t bother
We ignored all the negative reviews and wish we hadn’t. We plan to try a spray varnish instead. In Matt or Satin finish. The chalk paint does feel a bit raw on its own but this wax is a nightmare

Don't use
The Rustoleum paint covered my bookcases well and looked fine, but when I applied the Rustoleum finishing wax it looked dreadful- showing up white specks that had not been visible before. I tried buffing it to get a better finish but ti did not improve. Removing wax is no easy job - white spirit and sanding takes forever. The wax may look fine on "aged" furniture but definitely not recommended.

Rubbish wax
This wax is a waste of money it makes your paint go yellow after using. AVOID BUYING

Would be 0 if I could.
DO NOT BUY. I bought this product to go over rustoleum’s chalk furniture paint in the shade winter grey. I’d spent ages getting the paint lovely and even and enough coats done. I was so happy with how it looked until I applied this finishing wax. Despite buffing each area 10 minutes after application, it became all shades of yellow, brown, and red. I had to spend 6 hours sanding it all back down again to start with a different kind of paint. photos are before and after wax application.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong?
Sanded some old pine wardrobes, and painted with rustoleum chalky graphite paint- looked beautiful. Added this wax in clear. Now white patchy finish, looks horrible? So gutted its ruined. Anyone else had this when used over a darker colour???

Perfect for upcycling
I’ve used this wax for dozens of furniture pieces over RustOleum chalk as well as Good home paints. Can’t fault it and will be buying more in the future.
