Need to prime with this product

Used this to paint some shelves product said it didn’t need a primer but it then took 4 coats of paint to get a neat finish . Great colour & finish but would use a primer in future

Lovely paint, but do a patch test first!

The name and the swatch in store looked to be exactly the sort of neutral grey I was looking for. When I opened the tin at home, it was more of a warm mid grey, which still worked nicely for the area I wanted to use it. When I painted it, I found myself looking at a very dark cool brown! To the point where I genuinely thought I must have picked up a mislabelled tin. It's a lovely brown, but... not graphite grey! When I rinsed the brush off in the kitchen sink, though? Graphite grey. Exactly what I originally thought I was buying. So... definitely patch test in situ before committing! That said, it's really nice paint. First coat goes on a little streaky, and it's prone to dripping if you overload your brush. But the second coat is a charm and totally evens everything up.

Excellent paint

I used this to paint a fireplace surround. The paint is quite thick and as I applied it it was showing all the brush strokes no matter how carefully I tried to avoid them.I thought the finish was going to be awful. However as it dried the brush strokes magically all disappeared leaving a beautiful flat matt finish. I did need 2 coats to get the complete coverage that I wanted but I was expecting that.I would definitely recommend this paint.
