Rust-Oleum satin finish furniture paint adds a timeless mid-sheen lustre to any piece of furniture. The superior silk touch satin finish comes in an elegant palette of soothing shades and has been carefully curated to enhance contemporary interiors. It is 'Toy Safe' to toy standard testing: BS EN 71-3: 2013 + A1:2014. Migration of Certain Elements
- For use on Furniture
- Does not require any priming or sanding on most surfaces, simply ensure the surfaces are smooth, dry and free from contaminants. For best results, remove any wax or oil from the surface and if wax is used then clean the surface thoroughly with white spirit. It is recommended that bare wood should be sanded before painting. Finish with a layer of Rust-Oleum furniture finishing wax or Rust-Oleum furniture lacquer for protection
- Instructions for Use - Stir the product thoroughly prior to use. It may be applied with a brush or roller. If applying with a brush, apply evenly following the grain of the wood. If rolling, use a short nap mohair roller. To create a distressed look, apply 2 coats in contrasting colours. Allow to dry and then lightly abrade with moistened sand paper or a stainless steel scouring pad. Subsequently abrade with the grain of the wood. Protect the paint effect with Rust-Oleum furniture finishing wax.

Not great paint but good end result
I researched online how to upcycle pine - I cleaned, scuffed and applied a primer but it took 4 coats. The first coat the paint kept moving about as I moved the paint brush. The end result was great and I like the deep colour and satin finish however it took a lot of effort on my part. Stick to chalk paint unless you are happy to put the work in.

Good result
Takes two coats to get a good finish but really pleased with the final results. A bit pricey but worth it.

Brilliant product!
Goes on so smoothly, almost no brush marks if applied with care. Good coverage with two coats. The finish is lovely, just a soft satin. The paint is low-build and allows the grain of the wood. It's easy to achieve professional looking results with this - just wish I'd tried it before. Better than any other similar product I've used.

Absolute rubbish
The first coat went on with some difficulty with a roller; it parted a bit like putting water onto wax. The paint was being used to refurbish some furniture, which had been de-waxed with solvent, sanded and then primed. The paint did dry in reasonable time, but a re-coat was left to the following day. However, when applying the second coat, it appeared to reactivate the first coat again, so it became completely liquid once again and impossible to re-coat. Disappointed with this reaction, I expected the paint would need sanding back, but found out that even when the paint was dry, a damp cloth could wipe the paint away easily as if it was just dirt. I won’t be using a Rustoleum product again. The full product detail was Rustoleum satin finish furniture paint in graphite, batch number 467134.

Absolutely Amazing Paint
Fantastic paint, I went off previous reviews as I wanted to paint a previous plain pine bed and now it’s absolutely beautiful, the paint was very easy to use and dried quickly with a nice silky finish. Perfect, highly recommend to anyone wishing to upgrade their furniture.

Good coverage
Bought for paintwork in front room it’s a good thick paint which covers well. Looks really lovely against wallpaper also purchased from B&Q
