Love it! Transformed my kitchen cabinets
Personally I love this paint! I followed a recommendation below regarding watering down and using a small foam roller. You do have to work quickly and evenly with the paint and I found the more you go over it, the higher the chances are of making it cakey/chalky. I did 2/3 coats then lightly sanded any imperfections. I have painted numerous different items with this paint over a year ago and the paint has lasted so well. I painted my old laminate effect cupboard doors in my kitchen and they are still going strong now (I wouldn’t say I’m delicate with them either). Make sure you seal after to toughen the paint. Also love the fact it’s resistant to water after sealing, had no issues with cleaning. Can honestly say I’ve never had any experience restoring or using chalk paint, so I’m no expert and I was really apprehensive about using the paint based on the mixed reviews… but I really enjoyed it. I also painted my kitchen tiles in the white version of this chalk paint, then sealed with a tough Matt top coat… and they have also survived for over a year!

Good
I bought this paint to upcycle a desk I had. I initially thought it would be a darker shade of grey than it was but I actually love the colour it turned out to be. For me it when on in 2 coats pretty easily.

It’s Brilliant!
I recently bought a new home and after our extensive renovations I didn’t want to splash out on a new dining table and chairs. Our old owners left behind theirs but it was a dark mahogany colour and didn’t match the new kitchen. I hate sanding so I wanted a very very very low maintenance paint. I’ll be honest I was very put off by some of the reviews but thought I’d persevere as it would be a relatively cheap mistake to make if I messed it up! I bought this paint in winter grey and off I went. The chairs went on a dream, I wanted a completely Matt look but shabby chic would’ve been much easier to achieve. For a novice like me it’s was easy, each chair took 2 coats but the paint is super thick. I started by giving all of the furniture a good clean. The first coat went on great but you do need 2 to make it more even. I did find that you need to completely let the paint dry before going over again the second time (the paint will drag and become bumpy and pull) if this does happen let it dry and lightly sand to even it out. You can add water to thin the paint which does help somewhat but I preferred the thick consistency as it was much easier to paint with a brush. The table top nearly caused me to bin the entire lot as I used a roller and it took me almost half a tin, my patience and 4 coats. I did water the paint very slightly when using a roller to allow for more even coats. The results?! Totally worth it. I finished it off with Ronseal clear diamond hard (satin) The colour IS grey but it’s very very pale. I have bought a Valspar paint similar to this shade previously which was most definitely in the grey colour chart. Once I applied the satin varnish the colour darkened somewhat. Unlike the other reviews I did not find this to be cream in colour. I have since used the leftover paint to finish off other things in my kitchen to match the table. I love this paint and would defo use again!

Nice colour, very versatile
Always love this as the colour is so versatile and neutral. The paint does chip very easily though so advise putting a clear wax or varnish over the 2 coats of paint.

No for me.
The colour is nothing like that advertised it’s ALMOST WHITE. Difficult to apply due it being extremely viscous and it dries too quickly. Looks like it’s a complete re-sand start again with an eggshell paint.

Brilliant
Bought this game reductive last week and have upcycled a chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables. Looks so much better than before

Excellent paint
Great quality considering how inexpensive the paint it. Great finish.

Very hard to work with
Bought to paint MDF radiator covers. This paint dries EXTREMELY quickly so you have to be an octopus with multiple rollers to get an even coat. Would highly advise staying clear of this paint unless your going to water it down and spray it

Worst Paint I’ve Ever Used!
Think twice before using this! Ruined my piece of furniture. Wish I had never done it! Goes on like treacle, just really awful to use! Finish is dreadful! Friends said to water down but it was too late. Stay away!

Misleading Colour
It's not dark grey at all it's an off white when dry. So misleading and poor quality even with hours of prior sanding it's got brush marks and dries so fast if you catch a previous area it pulls the paint. Absolutely awful!
