Design flaw - unusable without modification
Metal surrounding the straight edge on the catch is too thick, such that it's impossible to get it close enough to the door for the bolt to slide through. Either the edge of the catch needs filing or the bolt needs to be mounted on something so it sits proud from the door, neither of which should have to be done if this was better designed!

Dont waste your time
Three screws broke in a row using a manual screwdriver, ended up having to buy a wider one to cover the mess they made

I should have read the reviews.
Bought this last week, fitted it and went to slide the bolt across and it fell apart. It is not engineered well enough to stay in its housing. Screws are also poor quality. Will hopefully be able to take it back for something better.

Poorly designed
I’d have taken the product back if I hadn’t already screwed the holes. Basically the bolt does not align with the catch so you can’t actually close the bolt so you have got to really think of a way around this. I decided to bring the catch out by about 2mm using double sided tape so that it would align. The supplied screws are awful also as they don’t sit flush

not very well engineered
The first problem when you come to fix this is that the holes on the bolt are not drilled deep enough so when you put the screws in, the head's do not sit flush so the slider cant move. Drill the holes deeper until they do fit and if the bolt does not sit flush it tends to distort the body meaning the bolt wont move. simple but annoying issues....

Simple
Nice clean looking bolt. Taught slide fit too which is good. No fixing screws supplied and difficult to find suitable ones that fit and look nice too.

Sliding bolt
Not very happy, nothing wrong with the item, except it was replacing an old one bought from B&Q, but the screw holes did not line up. Massive problem fixing....

Poorly designed
I bought this for a downstairs cloakroom. The product is well built but poorly designed. The lower edge of the plate for the lock to slide into does not align with the lock itself, so for most doors where you would mount it against a doorframe it takes some very inventive carpentry to get it to fit. I had to mount the lock on another plate to get it to sit further away from the door to be able to get it to work.

Good bolt. Terrible screws.
Another B&Q product with screws made out of jelly. Terrible.
