Excellent products
I bought this to try and get a more even coverage of grass fertiliser. It worked really well and stopped patches of too much fertiliser which prevented the grass from burning. The variable switch meant it was easy to control the flow.

Works well, sometimes the feeder needs a little jige to get the product through, but generally it does what I need it to do

Good spreader
It’s good. It spreads stuff. I went out on the lawn and put some fertiliser down and now my lawn is very green

Satisfactory
I suspect much will depend on the size of granules you're applying, whether it's lawn feed, plant feed. Slight adjustment to outlet hole but not easy to judge.

Does the job
Does a job spreading lawnfeed over a medium sized garden. Not sure why there were so many poor reviews. Yes, once the container gets low on fertiliser you have to shake it but it's perfectly good for spreading lawn feed. If you have a very large garden then this isn't for you, if you have anything smaller it works well

Does the job
Spreads 180 degrees so be careful start spreading from inside the lawn not on the edge as most will be out on patio. Easy to use no assembly.

Mostly functional and did the job
I read the reviews and was prepared when I went to the store. I looked through all on the shelf, out of 4 or 5, one had the handle broken off and 2 had slipping gears when I wound the handle. I bought the best one (obvs). I'm not going to use this often so don't want all my capital tied up in investing in higher cost, quality equipment so was prepared to put up with nursing it through seeding my lawn like it was a new-born kitten. That said it did it's job well and has lived to do it again. If you lack mechanically empathy, you may struggle, otherwise, meh, did what I needed.

Does the job well
Used it same day for the first time to apply grass seed. Dispersed the seeds very evenly and at a well controlled rate. Couple of weeks later I used it to apply fertilizer with more good results. Very happy with it and already recommended it to a friend.
