Product information
Universal putty is a linseed oil based putty paste with modified resins. Ideal for mounting single pane glass without glazing beads, it's used for setting frames, faucets and strainer baskets. Simply apply and leave to dry. It provides excellent toolability and can be painted after once dried. Consult the packaging label for more information.

Not the best
Found this a little to sticky and the film at the top got into the putty when you tried to remove it

Very workable
I was surprised that it was hard but with kneading it softened up lovely and workable so glazed 6 windows with it

Awful stuff
Wish I had read the reviews before buying. This stuff is unusable , went in the bin and got some own brand stuff from sister company which was perfect. Why don’t B&Q give up with this rubbish .

Rubbish, lumpy putty
Very poor product. Lumpy and took ages to kneed into some form of workability. Avoid. B&Q destock and replace with better.

It seems it's either too dry or too wet. Mine was a lump of rock, right through.

Did what I needed to repair my greenhouse but was a bit dry even with lots of warm kneading

Useless
The putty is fat too wet and impossible to work with - it just sticks to everything and can't be kneaded.

Easy to use putty
Useful instructions on the tub told you how to use. Kneaded for a few minutes & pushed into place with a putty knife. Smoothed out nicely & set well after a few days.
