Very poor quality
Bought this online last Friday as it was not available in any of my local B&Q stores. Dispatched on a 4 day delivery. Received it on day 5. The quality of the timber was shocking. More twists than a Florida hurricane. Its only use was to chop it up for firewood.

Good Quality Timber
Ordered on Monday on a 4 day delivery arrived 2 days later - brilliant. Product was straight and clean square edges along all 4 lengths of the timber. Made a first clase wardrobe frame

Difficult to find true 4x2 timber
B & Q were the only place I could find full sized 4x2 timber, all others were nominal sizes & several m.m undersized. It's only rough sawn & untreated, but ideal if you need the exact 4x2 to match original joists. It can be treated with any good preservative if using in an area where damp may be an issue.

Best wood in town
I ordered some wood for my attic. I was boarding out to obtain more storage space but because of the extra weight I realised I needed some cross beams for the chip board boards to rest on.

cheapest way to raise the loft floor
I wanted to raise the loft floor to increase insulation. Having priced up the options, this worked out cheaper than plastic spacers & also provides a far more stable base for the floor. Just one downside. B&Q offer no flexibility on delivery dates & I couldn't arrange to be home so I found the wood left in the front garden.
