Good for inside and out, needs varnish outside.
These packs of 5 are not bad value, but I would collect them from the store and not get them delivered. You can almost check them in the packet. I’ve used them extensively to line a garden cabin inside it and also externally on side panels of a garden storage unit. The external use requires at least two coats of good quality wood preserver plus I recommend yacht varnish as top coat. I coat all the pieces with one coat before assembly and fit them together just before the preservative drys. It’s gives a weather resistant bond initially. I then coat it again with another coat of wood preserver, then finally yacht varnish. It might appear over the top to have three coats on it, but the wood is very thin. So far, my first external garden creation has lasted 8 years ! - without any degradation of the wood.

Typical B&Q quality control
You know when you usually buy loose timber from B&Q, you have have to sift through a load to find a piece that isn’t banana-shaped or split or otherwise damaged because all the rubbish is left on the shop floor? Well imagine buying pre-cellophane wrapped packs that you can’t sort through. Of the five packs I purchased, on average two in each pack were useless. Split, warped, holes where the knots have fallen out, etc. So suddenly it’s not so cost effective when you can’t use one third of What you’ve purchased. At least B&Q is consistent, but the zero quality control for timber is incredibly frustrating.

Take care with this product
I ordered this on line for delivery. Product arrived on time. Advertised as 1.8 metres long they were actually 1.7 mts fortunately the frame was undersize as well so didn't matter. However if it's advertised as 1.8 its should be 1.8mtr. Also one of the pack of 5 was unusable as the tongue was missing. One of the other boards was full of knot holes. The remaining three were ok.
