This cordless damp / moisture meter is specially designed for calculating the % moisture reading based on electrical resistance across two pins.
Features and benefits
- Operating temperature 0 - 40° C
- Two detection pins (8mm length) to locate in material being tested
- Illumination LED LCD display indicating the moisture level on a bar graph
- Measure moisture: Across masonry (mortar, concrete, plaster) moisture from 0.2% to 2.0% and wood moisture from 6% to 44%
- Requires 4 AAA batteries and has a rubber hand grips for comfortable usage
- Note that the electrode pins on this tool are sharp and should be handled carefully. Keep them covered when not in use

Product appears to do the job
This item is a convenient size and appears to do the job required. However, I can't give 5 stars as I am unable to independently verify the readings. The instructions booklet also takes a little bit of working out as to what levels of damp can be regarded as acceptable.

Great, simple and useful
Bought it for an emergency and I ended discovering another leak. Very useful tool to have. It comes with a guide on moisture of materials.

Très Utile Utilisatioon simple
Appareil très pratique Une seule remarque : devoir se référer au document papier pour connaitre le degré d'humidité en fonction du matériau testé. Tableau du guide photocopié et glissé dans la pochette heureusement fournie avec l'appareil.

Ne sert à rien !
Je regrette d'avoir acheté cet article sans avoir fouillé le descriptif : il ne permet pas de mesurer au-delà de 2% d'humidité dans le plâtre. Autant dire qu'il sature à la moindre goutte d'eau et ne peut servir à réellement suivre l'état d'un mur. A ce prix, c'est abuser !!!! Quel regret qu'un magasin "physique" ne vende que ça et qu'il faille passer par de la VPC pour avoir un testeur d'humidité digne de ce nom

Pour moi c’est très bien
Moi je l’ai acheté pour aider ma Soeur pour ne pas être relogée dans une appartenant humide car elle est toujours malade l’humidité est interdit chez elle.
