It's a big drill bit. It makes big holes in things

Not something I'm likely to use every day, but did the job perfectly well for what I needed. 15mm is a really hard size to find in both drills and router bits, and my only other option (a cheap forstner) was horrendous to use in thick plywood.

Poor quality; drill tip ground to wrong angle

Once I took this drill bit from the packaging I had my suspicion that the drill bit angle was too shallow to cut. I gave this the benefit of the doubt at first, but soon found that the drill bit did not cut at all, it simple bounced off the material (steel) I was trying to drill. I then checked the half-angle and found it not be be at 59 degrees...problem located. I then took my drill bit gauge and ground the tip to the 118 degrees angle (59 x 2). Once I had done this, the drill bit then cut the hole in steel with no issues. You would expect this fundamental feature of drill bit design to already be part of the product before you have to go about correcting the problem. I would be very wary of these drill bits in future if you don't have the ability to regrind the cutting angle. Not recommended.
