Flush trim router cutter cuts oversize
The flush trim cutter in this kitchen fitters' kit* cuts approximately 0.5mm deep into the wooden base guide edge that it is supposed to cut flush with i.e. the cutter's radius is 0.5 mm greater than its guide bearing, when both should be the same size. I bought the kit because no individual flush cutters were on display - I wanted only a flush cutter. I then bought a Trend cutter from a competitor, and tested it along the RH side of this wood batten - as you can see, it did not cut into it. I've trimmed the overlay sheet of a wooden door successfully with the Trend cutter, and will be returning the B&Q kit which is of no use. Excessive bearing clearance might be a contributing factor.
