Founded on our Exterior Paint Promise, Valspar® Garden Paint is a fade resistant coating perfect for adding a new lease of life to sheds, fences, furniture and other garden wood. Unlike stains, Valspar® Garden Paint highlights the natural texture of the surface but conceals the wood grain and knots. Its elasticity guarantees protection against cracking, flaking and peeling for up to 6 years. Long-term performance and a UV resistant formula ensure your colour will stay true for years to come.

• Surface Preparation - Read health and safety information below before painting. The surface must be clean, dry and free of dirt, chalk and grime. Glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded before painting. Repair all damaged areas. Lightly sand old, loose or flaky paint. If mould, moss, algae or lichen are present, they must be completely removed. Apply a solution of 1 part bleach and 3 parts water. Rinse thoroughly. Allow the surface to dry for 24–48 hours after cleaning to ensure wood is dry before application. We recommend to seal absorbent surfaces with an Exterior Primer & Undercoat.
• For outdoor use only. Do not apply in damp or humid conditions. Apply when the temperature of the surface being painted is above 10°C. Stir contents well to ensure paint is thoroughly mixed. Colours may vary due to the type of exterior wood surface they are applied to. Purchase enough paint to complete the job. When purchasing more than 1 container of the same colour, intermix containers to ensure colour uniformity. If you feel that you may run out of paint, stop at a corner or a natural break. Suitable for exterior wood, cement and unglazed terracotta. Apply 1-2 coats using a suitable brush or professional spray equipment. When spraying, always back-brush immediately. Apply to small sections at a time, working from dry areas into the paint’s wet edge and finish with gentle, vertical strokes. Avoid excessive brushing. Do not overapply. Do not thin this product. Dries to the touch in about an hour under normal conditions. Allow 2-4 hours between coats.
