A premium paint that provides a tough and durable finish to bare or rusted metal including, cast iron, galvanized steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
- Surface Preparation - Do not apply in damp or humid conditions. Apply when the temperature of the surface being painted is above 10 °C. Can be used on bare, rusty or previously painted metal, including cast iron, galvanised steel, aluminium and stainless steel. Remove any loose rust or paint with a wire brush or 120grit sandpaper before painting. For previously painted surfaces in good condition, lightly sand with 240grit sandpaper and then wipe down with a damp cloth. You can apply our paint directly to the surface without the need of a primer.

Valspar premium dark blue
Bought valspar dark blue paint for a cupboard it took 7 coats even to get it anywhere near the sample ,I will never buy this paint again you will spend ages and many coats not at all worth it

worst paint to use
Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying Valspa, what I thought would be a quick job has turned into a nightmare costing me more time and money !!! the quality of the paint is very poor and has dried very patchy even after 3 coats. Last week I used Ronseal on a similar job at a different property and it went on like a dream. I only found out that my neighbour had the same issues with Valspa, wish I knew before as I would not have used Valspa, I now have to buy more paint, lose a whole day to rectify the horrible mess of using Valspa.
