This Pure brilliant white gloss wood & metal paint has been specially designed to give a durable and long-lasting finish on a range of surfaces. Simply apply 2 coats with a brush, roller or spray and leave for 1 hour to dry - a great way to give the surfaces additional protection. Covers 25 m² per litre on average.

Went on well

Rubbish
Absolutely awful gloss paint. I've used their emulsion before and was impressed so went for the white gloss. It was like painting milk on my doors really runny and the brush didn't hold the paint(milk). Stirred as instructions. No stars whatsoever

Valspar gloss- what a shame
I use Valspar pain for walls and ceilings and find it to be an excellent paint that gives good coverage. However, the gloss is horrendous. It is like a tub of milk and looks just like it when painted on wood work. You cannot call this stuff paint.

Bought today and was advised by paint counter staff it was better than others. What bad advice it is absolutely useless Staff shouldn’t talk about something they know nothing about

Worse paint ever used
Even the cheapest paint I have ever purchased covers better than this! I spent more money as I wanted a paint to cover dark doors. Absolutely no chance, doesn’t even cover white undercoat!! B&Q have stolen my money as far as I am concerned, and, although I have bought valspar paint in the past, I will never buy it again. How can professional paint makers produce such a lousy product?

Excellent Paint
We always purchase Valspar. It goes on well and is a water based paint so everything is easy to clean! No turps required and that is a godsend.

Worse paint I have ever used
I recently purchased 2.5L satin wood paint and choose a colour to be mixed in from the farrow and ball range. Colour was exact but the consistency of the paint was thin and watery even after mixing well. I applied three coats to skirting boards and internal doors over a white base as the paint was streaky and the coverage was extremely poor. I found it scuffed really easily and have now had to repaint them all again using a dulux satin wood which was fine, but not the colour I really wanted. What a complete waste of money, time and effort. I would strongly advise to use a different brand. However I can recommend the valspar emulsion 100%

Are they sure its paint?
I am 52, have lived in a number of houses, painted many rooms, used many different paints and this is definitively the worst paint I have ever had the misfortune of using. The paint is not opaque so the base still shows through. It wont flatten. It shows paint brush marks. It clumps when you try to over brush. And due to all these problems it has about as much of a gloss finish as the road outside my house. I can only Valspar is now a B&Q own brand, no reputable paint company can have made this. You would probably have to try really hard to make a worse paint! avoid at all cost.

This Paint is Horrendous
Bought this Paint yesterday thought I'd gave it a try opened tin thought this is like water.I gave it a good stir for about 10 mins as it still didn't thicken up what a complete waste of money feel like taken it back to shop it's like milk mixed with water.Cannot believe B&Q actually selling this product wish I read reviews first as others have commented.

I like it
I have used this numerous times and I really like it. Previous oil based white gloss always went yellow. This is easy to apply no fumes dry very quickly great in a busy house full of kids. Easy to clean and touch up. It remains a nice white colour.
