This multi-purpose compost has been specially tested and formulated to ensure your flowers, seeds and cuttings flourish and grow in the garden and greenhouse - feeding for up to 6 weeks.
- Use in pots and hanging baskets
- Composition - 100% coir, wood fibre, plant fibre
- Before opening the bag, loosen compacted compost. Before use, make sure the contents are well mixed. Take care when watering and avoid waterlogging. Check a few centimeters below the surface of the compost, if it is moist no watering is required. For smaller pots, the weight of the pot is a good indicator of its moisture content. For best results use a liquid feed to maximise flowering and fruiting. When using fertilisers follow the recommended dosing instructions.

Not great
When I opened the bag the compost inside seemed to be very grey and musty looking, especially the bits near the sides of the bag. I wasn't sure if this was mould but as a precaution I only used the compost in the middle of the bag which seemed OK. I have bought B&Q own-make compost in the past and it has been good value, but I'm not sure I will be buying any more.

Compact Compost
This is a manageable package of compost just right for those small plant jobs ; I use it for repotting and to top up the soil in my window boxes it’s great!

Good compost
Survived transport well. It appears lovely and dark and feels slightly moist to the touch. It is feeding my potted plants well.

DO NOT BUY infested with fungus gnats
Avoid! When I opened the bag a cloud of fungus gnats emerged. Even though I sealed the bad right away I have been battling this pest ever since, as it took residence in my house plants. If you don't know what they are count yourself blessed – they are very hard to eradicate.

don't buy it!
I bought this soil twice at different times and both bags contained small flies, I can't eradicate them, they multiply very quickly!

Better than regular compost..
Especially for small plants and some larger seeds. Seems good quality although slightly rough for more soil sensitive plants/seeds. Bit more expensive than equivalent products in other stores. However, I used my diamond discount card and shopped on wed to get 10% off!
