This multi-purpose compost has been specially tested and formulated to ensure your flowers, seeds and cuttings flourish and grow in the garden and greenhouse - feeding for up to 6 weeks.
- Use in pots and hanging baskets
- Composition - 100% coir, wood fibre, plant fibre
- Before opening the bag, loosen compacted compost. Before use, make sure the contents are well mixed. Take care when watering and avoid waterlogging. Check a few centimeters below the surface of the compost, if it is moist no watering is required. For smaller pots, the weight of the pot is a good indicator of its moisture content. For best results use a liquid feed to maximise flowering and fruiting. When using fertilisers follow the recommended dosing instructions.

Shredded woody material
This product is mostly shredded woody material and it leaks dark brown liquid from the bottom of pots after watering. This stains paving and decking badly, and means that any nutrients get washed out. If you use a lot of potting compost over the season it's a reasonable buy, but you will have to feed pots regularly to support growth

Value for money
The Verve Peat Free multi purpose compost is the best value compost I have bought. It's great value for money & similar products come in 40 litres (this one is 50) & is cheaper.

A useful size .i can just about lift it into a trolley and then my car . I do find it dries out quite quickly
