Vinyl floor underlay
Easy to lay. Finished product is good and provides a warm vinyl floor.

Terrible product, a waste of money
Not a great product. Very brittle, the creases where it is folded tear very easily so I ended up taping every joint. Also difficult to work on, laying a laminate floor you have to kneel and walk on the underlay, even with soft-soled shoes it was breaking up wherever I trod. I would not buy this again, foil-backed foam in rolls is much better and easier to work with.

Too easily tearable.
Perforations to assist, but... tears and damages too easily.

Not impressed
XPS foam is also known as polystyrene and it's brittle. It has pre cut lines that is supposed to make cutting easier but the chances that these lines line up with where you want to actually cut is slim. The boards come folded and the boards tear very easily on the folds. However with a little care and patience it is possible to get them laid satisfactory. The annoying problem for me is that after a few days, albeit it's not loud but small audible clicks appear when you walk over the floor. Next time I will avoid this type of underlay and will go for something softer that comes on rolls, such as felt or something that has a rubber feel to it. If you are buying this product for a tradesman to use I would ask them if they are happy before parting with your money
