Volden general purpose mortar is ideal for any building work, laying bricks or blocks, rendering, pointing or masonry repairs. Simply fill the bucket with water to the required volume, add the powder and mix. Comes with 3 x 5kg bags to allow you to mix for multiple jobs on different days.

• Ensure any loose material or debris is removed and brushed prior to application of mortar. When repairing pointing joints the depth of the joint should be twice the width. To help prevent the mixed mortar drying out too quickly in warm conditions, dampen bricks, blocks and bases before proceeding. Recommended application temperature is 5 to 25°C. NOTE: This product is pre-blended and requires no further mixing before adding water. 1) Open bucket, removing dry mortar mix bag(s). Dependent on required volume of mortar, fill plastic tub with clean water to required level using internal water mark indicators. NOTE: Refer to mix ratio table for details on expected consumption. 2) Empty contents of bag(s) and mix thoroughly until the desired consistency is achieved. 3) Once mixed evenly, apply Volden General Purpose Mortar with a trowel and/or palette knife to the prepared area. Ensure mortar is evenly distributed. 4) On completion, cover newly laid masonry with polythene sheet or wet hessian (sacking) to protect from weather hazards until fully set. Remove any excess material from the surface of bricks, paving etc. before the mortar dries. 5) Clean tools and equipment with warm soapy water immediately after use.

Do not breathe dust. Wash skin thoroughly after handling. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water and soap. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present andeasy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Dispose of contents/ container to an approved waste disposal plant. Refer to product SDS
