Ideal decorating filler

Second time I’ve bought this excellent product. It’s perfect at filling cracks, dries relatively quickly in an hour or so. Nice smooth paste to apply and easy to rub down and feather into original plaster. Nice secure tub keeps it ready for use months later. Definitely recommend it 👍🏻

Volden jointing compound

Been in the trade for 40+ years and can honestly say this is one of the most useless products I've tried...never again! Fine if you are filling gaps of less than 1mm but it will shrink back and you'll need to do it again. Very bad shrinkage like I've never seen before. Then once you've allowed several decades for it to dry you will probably be able to rub it down with the palm of your hand!! If you get to this stage and don't then have to start again, I would suggest a thin primer or stabilising solution so the paint adheres properly 😉

Great time saver

Bought recently to finish off a little DIY project and I highly recommend it! Spreads easily and smoothly! Much better than using a filler!
