Jack's Magic is a traditional compost. It's full of natural nutrition, enriched with seaweed and West+2 meaning it now holds even more moisture. The fine grade material enables closer seed contact for improved germination and closer root contact for more water and nutrient uptake. Added calcium enhances the nitrogen uptake for stronger, healthier growth and green glossy foliage.
- For use all around the garden
- Composition - Peat free compost mix
- Before use rework the compost between hands to allow it to regain intended texture. Seed Sowing - Fill your tray with compost and then water. Sow your seeds according to packet instructions and cover. Place our of direct sunlight. Pots and Baskets - Choose a suitable pot and place a layer of compost in the base. Tap your plant from your old pot, shake off loose compost and place into your new pot. Fill any gaps and then water. Beds and Borders - Dig a hole twice the depth and diameter of the roots. Place your plant in the hole, fill any gaps with compost and then water.

Very good
My plants are thriving in this compost. It’s very free draining and not at all claggy so does not form a hard crust like peat based compost. Very pleased so far.

Breeding ground for little black flies
Avoid this compost, it’s totally rubbish like others, quality is poor, breeding ground gnats flies, smells and doesn’t not retain water.

Too full of council compost for my liking as lots of bits of twig, bark etc. Not good for seedlings etc. Shan't buy again.

Chunks of wood in compost
Jacks Magic is normally a good product. Unfortunately the bags I purchased had numerous small chunks of wood in them. Sadly I will now buy a different brand of compost in future.
