It's suitable for plants in any stage of life, so you can support saplings from germination right through to their flowering period.

  • How to Use First put on a pair of gloves and rework compost between your hands, so it retains its intended texture Seedlings/Pricking out Prick out seedlings once they are large enough to handle. Hold seedlings by the leaves to avoid damage and tease out root using a dibber or pencil • Plant seedlings apart to allow for growth. Water regularly until the seeds are ready to be potted on Potting • Water plant well and allow to drain before potting. Allow enough space to accommodate the roots • Remove from pot and plant in container, firming the compost gently around the roots • Once fully planted, water well Taking cuttings • Fill seed tray evenly with compost, firm gently and water • Make a sloping cut in the stem of the cutting and remove all bottom leaves • Dip the end of the cutting in a hormone rooting powder to encourage rooting • Make a hole in the compost with a pencil/dibber • Place cutting in the hole and firm compost gently around it • Cover the tray with polythene or glass to prevent drying out and place in a warm spot, away from direct sunlight until the cuttings have taken Hanging Baskets • Line the basket and fill with compost. Smelly compost, we had allergies rashes.

The compost mixture was quite dirty, and smelled of drainage water, we also had a lot of allergic reaction to it for the following few days. I’ll never buy compost form b&q again, sorry to say this.

Great product

Really nice compost. The added John Innis gives it a bit more texture & grittiness to allow good absorption & drainage. Standard compost seems to initially repel water & it just sits of the surface of a pot. I've just been planting Japanese Maple seedlings & cuttings & they don't become dislodged when watering. I recently planted lots of annual lobelia in pots with this compost & they've doubled in size in a week!!

Low Nutrients, Woody Composition

I bought this product last month for value for money. The compost is of poor quality and dose not contain enough nutrients to support healthly growth. I am now having to add Miracal grow liquid feed. I have now switched to a quality compost for my hanging baskets.

Rubbish compost

Not a very good product. I believe that the makup of he compost leaves a lot to be desired. The texture is more like "rotted down" cloths rather than organic in nature. I will not be purchasing this compost again, in my opinion it is rubbish!
