This product is awful
Bought to replace an old union. Possibly the worst thing I've ever done. Flimsy stamped metal which failed within a few hours of being installed.

Check fitting first
Seems OK and sturdy enough for our application. Note that the 'tounge' can be reversed for different door applications, but you need to do that before fitting and it's not mentioned in the instructions. Had to remove and refit it once I had worked out how it should have been for our door...

Yale metal rim lock-good product
i bought this yale rim lock last month for my porch door. It was easy to fit ,good quality and is working well.

Does the trick
Slightly more expensive than some I saw online, but as it’s Yale you know it’s probably better quality. Easy install, took me 15 minutes total.

Do not use outside
Do not use this for outside gates, it is not corrosion resistant and internals rust like crazy within a few months, at this point it fails, and you are now locked out of your garden. The photo included was for a lock fitted in February, it now no longer works as of April. Do not get this lock, find something that works for more than 2 months.
