A lock is a lock is a lock
Bit stiff, but does what it says on the tin. Would buy again, I mean I probably will in 20 years!

Rough
Very rough action, extremely simple key, no excution plate. Looks ok but pretty crudely made had to take it apart to grease it up which improved it a little but not much

Good value for money
I needed a lock for my side gate. No problem fitting it and works well. I used longer screws than those supplied as they are quite short. Make sure you drill through the door accurately to line up the key hole and give an extra bit of space for the keyhole. Wuit3 @ simple 15 minute job.

absolute rubbish
Bought this lock yesterday to replace a broken lock. Worked ok, tried the locking and unlocking with the keys supplied, once fitted to the door. Closed the door, locked it and then wouldn't unlock. Had to trash the lock to reopen the door. Total waste of money. Value for money, should have been free to get 1 star rating

Very precise in its requirements. not adaptable.
Hut use: Nothing wrong with it if you have designed your hut for it or been very very lucky that it fits straight on, always take all the measurements when its in the bubble pack to avoid my problems just in case its not suitable and needs returned. The problem is huts are huts and never MM perfect, This is my personal experience, hopefully not yours, I was retrofitting my two existing huts both bought from B&Q, had the standard little adaptable hut key lock that worked great until the keys eventually broke, My problems with the yale started with noticing that unless you have the exact distances the butt plate will hit the hut carcase on closing or the bolt will not reach the hut carcase both happened on my huts. The two lock side screws are designed far too close to the butt plate meaning that. Moving it horizontally will mean the 2 butt end screws will come within wood splitting distance if they are not there already. I also found the door key hole on both my huts were now in the wrong position you could just see the new position and no more. but annoyingly close meaning I had to part drill and chisel a trench at 45 deg's on the door instead of drilling a new hole. I had all the right tools and produced a dogs dinner on both huts. not a good day at all. How can it be bettered?, there is not an idiot guide or diagram on the back of the sealed package to state its precise requirements. there is a link to a how to video. but I was in the shop and buying a hut lock. simple I thought. Oh what a pain.
