Dreadful quality
The screws provided with this product were far too soft. The head of one actually snapped off while being screwed in. Appalling for a security product! Added to the need for a 12.5mm and 3.2mm drill bits (who has these sizes??) meant fitting was a real challenge. Buy something else

Simple extra security measure
Easy to fit and does just what it's intended to - extra security for patio doors.

Allows Patio door to be left but secure
Replacement for lock brought 16 years ago and worked fine in all that time. Only replaced as keys got thrown in error. Easy to install.

Works OK. Bolts could do with a longer throw.
Main issue with these bolts is they require a size of drill (for the bolts) that B&Q appear not to sell!

Poor quality
Bought two to increase security at home. Fitting was fiddly but ok, however its almost impossible to get the key into one of the locks to turn it. Have to stick a bradawl in to line up the slot for the key to go in - heaven help us if there's a fire! Bolt is also quite short so had to make plate for frame of back door.

Don't buy this lock
I bought one of these a couple of years ago and within 6 months the locking mechanism broke. I bought another one, thinking the first was just a defective example. The same thing has happened and I am now faced with having to cut it off, having secured it with security screws.

Poor Lock
I bought this lock about a month ago. After fitting I tried it out. It didn't lock! after repeated attempts it then fell apart! avoid this product.

replacement locks
Had old locks on patio doors for some 15 years replaced with same ones from B&Q very good buy

Good but chose the 5 yr guarantee version
Bought two of these locks but had to return them as one wouldn't lock and the other fell apart. On exchange, I noticed that one of the new bolt locks was guaranteed for 2 yrs, the other for 5 yrs. The latter looked better built (the lock itself) so I chose this and it's working great.
