This tubular latch does not operate smoothly when pressure is applied to spring mechanism.

Incorrect dimmensions
I have just collected this product, but the dimensions shown on the web site do not match the supplied item. As this was to replace an item it was necessary that it was fit for purpose

Backset is not 70mm as described
Useless. Backset length is not as as decribed in specification.

Don't believe the product description
Nothing about this product is 170mm. We can look past that obvious error, but don't be like me and journey to a store thinking that B&Q has a 76mm backset tubular latch as stated in the product spec. They don't, 76mm is the total length, the backset measurement is shorter.

Yale tubular latch
Have bought 5 it these to date because they are the only ones that fit. I don't think they are great quality, but for the price are ok. The last 2 I have fitted seem a bit tight but are doing the job for now.

Bought as a Replacement Latch
I bought this as a replacement for a broken latch and it was easy to remove the original and the replacement fitted exactly. The product is of a good quality and was offered at a very competitive price. Remember to measure the original latch as there are different lengths of latch available. Recommended.
