Apply this primer & undercoat from Zinsser to interior & exterior , using a brush, to prepare the surface for painting. It takes 45 minutes to dry and will cover 12.5 m² per litre on average.

Excellent undercoat
This is an excellent product that appears to be very thin but is an excellent undercoat creating a sound base for the top coat. Take care to secure the lid as the shellac evaporates but I’ve found that adding some meths will thin down again.

Works well
Used this product on ply wood to seal before adding paint, it adhered well. Also added tile adhesive and brick slips to lower part afterwards. Product covers well and left a neat finish.

Excellent product, but go easy.
It's amazing stuff, perfect primer/undercoat for any job. Two tips: 1) make sure you stir it thoroughly as it looks brown and watery at the start but don't be fooled, and 2) paint an area and then move on as it dries extremely fast and is unforgiving so don't go back over it. Well worth doiing though.

Excellent Coverage
Excellent coverage. I used the product to prepare a previously varnished handrail that was to be painted gloss white. The primer did its job and prevented me having to do a lot of sanding down.

Versatile product
I’ve been using this on new panelling before painting and to block out mould stains. It a great versatile product and how part of my decorating tools!
