Purchased this to prime some old pine cupboards that had previously been stripped and waxed. Being water-based I was a bit sceptical, however having used Zinsser Products in the past I thought I would give it a go. When using this product I found it behaves similar to a solvent based paint.
Fabulous product with quick drying and re-coat times.

Wouldn’t buy anything else. It covers beautifully without the need for a primer.
Great primer for bathroom walls. A+

I am a big fan of the Zinsser primers, this brand comes recommended by pros and this one we got for the prep of the BATHROOM walls.
I lightly sanded the walls first, then washed them. Once dry, I applied one coat of this primer Plus to get rid of any old shine so I could proceed with my new colour scheme the next day.
The substance is more 'runny' than you'd expect from a paint and it is a little tricky for brushwork (it drips a fair bit) but it applies very nicely on a roller and 1 coat was good enough to 'block' the strong colour we had, as our next colour was much paler (Dulux Warm Pewter).
My bathroom is now finished and it was an easy job.
The primer dries nice and matt.
A small pot will got a long way depending on the size of the room of course. We got a 1l pot and have half a pot left.
The price is worth it as it could make your life easier for the main job and this is exactly why I got this primer.
