PermaWhite® White Interior Satin is a mould resistant interior paint, containing a biocode that protects the dried coating against fungal degradation. The paint film is designed to resist cracking, peeling and blistering for up to 7 years before first maintenance. PermaWhite® bonds to existing solvent-based or glossy paints and can also seal new drywall, cement block and concrete. A scrubbable, satin finish recommended for any area of persistent high humidity, frequent temperature changes and poor air circulation - ideal for bathrooms and laundry rooms.

• Suitable for use on Brick, concrete, existing paintwork, plaster, plasterboard, masonry & wallpapers
• Surface Preparation - Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free of dirt, dust, grease, wax, wallcovering adhesive, soap film, loose paint or other surface contamination. Wash surfaces with Zinsser® Universal Degreaser & Cleaner and rinse thoroughly. Ensure surfaces are completely dry before painting, a maximum moisture content of 16%. Remove all existing mould and mildew before painting, such as with Zinsser Mould Killer & Remover. If you are concerned about mould and mildew behind walls, underneath flooring, in ventilation systems or other unseen areas, contact a professional who specializes in mould and mildew remediation. For commercial buildings and schools follow appropriate guidelines for mould removal. Check for satisfactory paint adhesion by cutting an X into the old paint film. Apply cellotape firmly over the "X" and pull tape away quickly. If old paint releases, it is unsound and should be removed back to a firm edge. Sand rough areas smooth and remove dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. Special precautions should be taken during the surface preparation of pre 1960’s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. When dry-sanding avoid dust inhalation by wearing a suitable protective face mask. Stains: Rust, tannin, grease, mould and mildew and other stains should be blocked with the appropriate Zinsser® stain killing primer-sealer such as B-I-N®. When priming over stained areas, first attempt to remove as much of the stain as possible by washing, sanding, scraping, etc.
• Instructions for Use - Shake or stir well before using. Apply with synthetic bristle brush, roller, pad applicator or sprayer. For airless spraying, use a .017 tip and high medium (2000-2600 PSI) pressure. Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 10°and 32°C and humidity is less than 80%. PermaWhite® is designed to be used as is. If thinning is necessary (such as with conventional sprayer applications), use only water and no more than 10% by volume.
