Bow Hand saws

Frame saws, also called bow saws, are built with two arms, with a bar or beam mortised into the centre of the arms, forming an "H" shape. The blades are relatively long and so permit faster cutting than other types of blades. Frame saws can be used for several different applications, including cross cutting, rip sawing, crosscutting wet wood, cutting curves, and cutting shapes within a board.
