This product was very easy the use and coverage was fab. Top class product. Would defo recommend. Only needed a small amount, would be good if product came in a smaller tub for small jobs!

Bought this to patch up a artex ceiling and it's shrunk and cracked
I tried DIY - 1 year ago
I bought this to do a repair on an artex ceiling. Water damage had brought down an area of plaster about 1m2 and I didn't want to have to have the whole ceiling re-skimmed. It was messy, but I expected that - just use a robust dust sheet! Went up OK though using a simple plastic float I bought at the same time. Next problem was to match the blobby pattern on the ceiling. The instructions say to try this out on something else first, so I used the float again but upside down. Turned out that a wet rag worked best. Once it was all painted it looked great, so I'm very pleased with the result.

Be aware this does NOT include the stippling brush shown in the picture, so when it says “all you need to get the job done” it is untrue. On the website it is described falsely as a KIT. It’s just artex so how can it be a “kit”?
Overall pretty good

Took some experimenting to get the right consistency and technique, but, as someone who'd never artexed before, I was soon getting some pretty decent results. Just bear in mind if you're not using the same tools and the same thickness as the original artexing it probably won't look exactly the same, but for small or large patching (and some patience) this should do the trick.
