Mixer showers utilise a connection via two inputs, one for hot water and one for cold. These two inputs are mixed within the valve to your desired temperature before sending it out of the head of the shower. As mixer showers use a hot water input, you will see the best results for these when used with a higher-pressure water system, such as a combination boiler or a pumped gravity system.
