Spikes of richly coloured flowers in late summer
- Planting location: Beds, borders or in patio pots
- Flowering period: June - August, Planting period: March - May
- Plant in a sunny or partially shaded spot. Dig soil improver and bonemeal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole. Plant at about 3 times the depth of the corm and in groups for maximum impact. Do not attempt to plant these bulbs if the ground is frozen or during freezing conditions. Water during dry spells. Tidy up old foliage once it has died back if desired.
