- For use on Brick, concrete, pebble-dash & render
- Ensure the surfaces to be painted are dry, clean from dirt and grease or flaking paint. Areas affected by mould, lichen or algae should be treated with weather shield multi-surface fungicidal. For best results, surfaces that remain powdery or chalky after preparation should be sealed with one coat of the appropriate dulux stabilising primer, this will provide a sound and stable substrate for painting. Any defects should be repaired using the appropriate polycell product. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead

Weathershield masonry paint gardenia colour
I have used weathershield masonry paint for some 40 years on my listed buildings. You have to have a good foundation for it and you have to work it in, so a brush is best to dab and smear it hard. Once it is on, it stays on and the gardenia colour stays gardenia shade so repainting it a few years later can be difficult as you can't always tell which is old paint and which is new paint. It also lasts well in the containers, I've got out old tubs from years ago and it is as good as bought fresh. So whatever the colour ingredients are, they last well. So you can buy ahead whenever there is a special offer and get it a lot cheaper.

Good quality paint
I have used Dulux Weathershield for many years. The gardenia is a great colour and it covers really well. It is a very good quality, thick paint which covers brilliantly even after just the first coat.

Great product
I bought this paint for a wall and garage which was built and plastered 3 years ago but had never been painted, gave the wall a wash first with red label allowed it to fully dry and started painting. Brilliant coverage and the colour is beautiful, I bought a sample in store first as I didn’t want it to look lemon but this is a lovely rich cream not yellow at all!
