Product information
Farrow & Ball interior walls & ceilings primer can be used under Estate Emulsion and Modern Emulsion paints, to create a rich and long last finishing. Apply using a brush, roller or spray and leave for 4 hours to dry. This tin will cover up to 30m² per 2.5 litres on average.

- Instructions for Use - All surfaces to be painted must be sound, clean, dry & well prepared. The correct Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat should be used before the topcoat is applied. Stir contents well before use.

Effective but pricey
This worked well on the walls in my bedroom - previously an interesting brown colour, this seemed to allow the top-coat of F&B Dimity to apply and cover really effectively. It dried quickly, to a matt, non-sticky finish. I only gave 4 stars rather than 5 as the consistency was quite tricky to work with - it was very runny and had a tendency to splash. Also, very expensive for an undercoat and I think a non-F&B one would possibly have had the same results. I'd say if you are covering a dark colour with a light one, this is a worthwhile purchase if you don't mind the premium price.

Too thick
Purchased the mid-tones primer having used the dark-tone one previously without issues. This one was a terrible consistency - obviously we tried mixing it as normal but it was stodgy to the point it felt like it had gone off and only managed to apply one coat when the tin should really be enough for two coats. Regret buying it and having an inconsistently primed room.

Great quality.
Goes on really well and gives good coverage. Looks almost good enough to be a top coat! Helps to bring out the finish of the matching top coat and adds durability.

Farrell and ball products are the best on the market. Would not use any other paint. Fantastic coverage

Usually Good
Bought last month to complete a decorating job. Usually good quality paint; on this occassion the paint had a sulphorous smell. Used F & B to maintain compatability with top coats.
