Unsafe for small children
Although this fire was sturdy there wre some dangerous parts which meant I had to return it. Parts that are made of heavy metal, that don't attach to the fire are dangerous when the house has small children visiting often.

Not for me
Bought online (should've gone into store!) as nearest equivalent-looking to replace old fire, but didn't look right in our fireplace. Cheap & cheerful, worked fine, quiet enough operation, but the matt back is unattractive, the red standby light intrusive and annoying, and flame effect not brilliant. Really didn't like that the 2 grate components don't seem to fix on in any way, and instructions are most unhelpful. Luckily when we returned it to store, saw a model we much prefer/plan to buy. Top marks for the no-quibble return.

Great price, looks good, does the job
I was disappointed to get the black trim instead of the gold- but needed it in place quickly, ordered last minute and the black looks fine. The price was good compared to other produces and delivery was excellent - arrived on time, to the door ( with v short notice, amidst Xmas strikes and snow) The fire was very easy to set up, lots of options for temperature control and flame options but also an easy on/ off for my elderly mother! Made our Christmas warm and homely and looks lovely now the decor is down !

Beware not free standing
This fire is designed to fit into a fire place or secured to a flat wall,if you have skirting boards the only way you will achieve this is by cutting the skirting board,mine was delivered with no remote control so unable to try it,its going back.

I ordered this fire as it did have good reviews. Unfortunately I thought it rather ' cheap' looking, with one big piece of plastic shaped to look like coals. It spoilt the look of my lovely fire place, so unfortunately returned it

Love the flame effect
This electric fire has 2 good heat settings and the flame effect looks really effective and the price is very reasonable.... Very prompt delivery as well
