It looks good however, the fitting that holds the glass to the frame is very sharp so the plastic "key" to screw it on is vital. HOWEVER the plastic tube (key) is incredibly flimsy and flimsy and the sharp screw simply sheers off the teeth. Personally, I would put the glass on first and thread VERY VERY carefully...If it cross threads forget it. I cut the tube back and jammed the screw on to get any semblance of a fit. My glass is loose but is unlikely to fall off.

We bought this product to modernise a room, as other people have said shocking to fit the glass shades, and when you do get them on they wont tighten up, of course may well have cross threaded but you cant actually see what you are doing with the pathetic black tube that is apparently designed to lock in to the shades !!! Shocking
The truth,.impossible to fit

We bought two of these light fittings for our kitchen/diner after reading the reviews, I was a bit worried about the fitting after reading the 2* review saying they were fiddly to fit. However it was a piece of cake. We then bought another one from a different B&Q in the clearance for the spare room - it looked the same but it wasn't. The first two had a black tool (see picture) and was very easy to fit, the 3rd one had a silver coloured prong looking tool (see picture) and it was very fiddly the bit behind the lamp shade is slightly different as well the newer version has a smaller connection the older version has the bigger one. These light look fantastic when up and are great value for money. The shades will be easy to remove for washing from the newer ones but not so easy for the older one. If you are thinking of getting one check the tool make sure it comes with the black tube like tool.

Bought this to replace one in our hall which suddenly stopped working.
Very pleased with it and would recommend.
