Leaks From Inaccessible Part
This unit is good when it works. It had a leak coming from the inside as the internal fins are not user accessible so eventually when it gets caked with dust, all the condensate leaks out. The hose keeps falling out of the back of the unit. This is all on a unit that is just over a year old. If you’re happy to take it apart (there is no manual so I had to just figure it out) and clean out the internal fins periodically; then get this.

Does a jod job cooling
I bought this towards the tail end of the hot weather this year. It was mainly for my child's room that never cools. It dropped the temperature from 27 to 23 within 45 mins. We also used it in an open plan kitchen (40square meters) which is a lot larger than intended. It made the kitchen slightly cooler and more comfortable but if you want one for a large area take note of the suggested area for a real impact. Venting is fiddly. Comes with vent for sash windows, which doesn't tend to be what we have in England. I rigged up a couple of sheets of hardboard, with reflective foil and a hole for the vent. Crude, and not pretty but did the job. It's only something that will come out for the week or two of hot weather.

Chronically bad
Bought this in May, stopped cooling. Then replaced it no problem. Second one lasted6 weeks before burning itself out. Took it back for a refund. Defo not worth the money

Overall good AC unit
Not the cheapest but far from the most expensive and does the job. Helpful night feature and simple to use. Fast cooling even in the recent 30 degree heat. As with most AC units is a bit loud but becomes background noise which isn’t too bad. The supplied ducting is only 1.5 M, is tricky to fit and not very flexible so had to replace it. This does seem a bit of a shame because better ducting is inexpensive. Would recommend overall but be prepared to replace the ducting

Goodhome takoma was way better
Barely cools a room wish they just stuck with the previous model had four good years before that went wrong this one barely cools a room

Top cooling at bottom price
I bought the A/C unit as we had some high heat in June - it measured up very well and cooled the large area I needed it for - to be fair, I wanted to cool a much larger area than it is designed for, some 80m2! It cooled this better than I thought it would but it worked way better when in a room approx the same as the max operating area, bear this in mind when buying. Minor criticism was the extraction pipe length, another 40cm would be so much better for unit to mid window, otherwise easy to use and works well!

Good bit of kit
This is not the most high spec with tons of features and wifi connectivity but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this AC unit does exactly what you want/need it to. It cools your room down and can be set up without needing to have a degree in engineering.. Reliable, reasonably priced and easy to use.
